LocalBoard Touch™ works along side of, or in place of the hotel concierge, informing guests of what is happening in the resort area with current and future events, as well as weather forecasts and a local business guide.  Each business listing includes a description, photo gallery, contact information with QR code and a catalog which is customized to each business (a menu for restaurants, sales listing or rate sheet for stores and services, for example). The directory categories on the boards include dining, shopping, services, recreation, transportation and events.

Hotels can brand LocalBoard with their logo and add content to showcase their amenities with text, photos and video.  Content can be changed as often as needed simply by logging into the LocalBoard Administrator.  There are six different sections for hotels to showcase their property’s features, welcome group events, provide guest instructions or market other hotel services.

Businesses can update their own information creating content that is always fresh and up to date. The events are managed by Resort VIP to ensure they are appropriate for all hotel guests.

LocalBoard itself is a 22″ touch panel display that allows guests to interact with the content similar to an iPad or other tablet.  The boards are very thin, allowing them to be wall mounted, placed on a table with their built in book stand, or installed on a floor pedestal stand.  Since our content is cloud based, the boards always have current information.

Q: How much does it cost to have a LocalBoard in my property?

A: We offer an annual subscription of $500.00 and a seasonal subscription for $250.00. There is a $100.00 setup fee which includes setup and delivery. If you are on a seasonal subscription, there is a setup fee each time the board is delivered.

Q: What if my LocalBoard stops updating?

A: Since all of the content for LocalBoard is live, the displays require full time Internet access. Through our pilot testing, usually the only time a display stops updating is because it has lost access to the Internet due to a faulty router. If your display stops for any other reason, we will replace it.

Q: Can I add my own content?

A:  Yes. Each LocalBoard host location can add content to their own LocalBoard and customize the front page.

Q: How often do the displays update?

A:  The touch screen displays pull live content. Information is always up to date.

Q: Where is LocalBoard offered?

A:  Currently we offer service in Killington, Vermont and Nantucket, Massachusetts. We will bring on other resort areas next year. If you have a property outside of our current distribution, please contact us for details.
